Who am I?

By day I’m a Graphic Designer, higher education instructor of Graphic Design and Theory, Professional Writer and Manuscript Critiquer.

But in my spare time I’ve managed to be the founder and former leader of the Gainesville Writers Group, a member of the Florida Writers Association (FWA) and active volunteer at the annual FWA Writers Conference, have served as a judge for writing, print and web design contests, published in newsletters and magazine with circulation of more than 50,000 (web and print), have behind the scenes experience in the traditional print industry, have served on the American Advertising Federation (Gainesville, FL) board as Secretary and Public Service Co-chair, and have served as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for the Florida 8th Judicial Circuit.

Wow … You never realize how much you do until you write it down. There’s a few more things I could add, but I think the list is pretty good as is

• I enjoy photography and karaoke.
• I’m a closet nerd (and proud of it!) who likes to debate the finer sides of physics, chemistry, biology and biotechnology.
• I collect and customize Asian ball-joint dolls.
• When not working, I like spending time with the two- and four-legged members of my family.
